A specialist in ransomware attacks targeting enterprises and state-sponsored intrusions, he is notably the author of award-winning research such as the SANS-recognized Ransomware Diaries series, as well as Ransom Mafia: Analysis of the World’s First Ransomware Cartel and A History of REvil. Jon is best known for his two-year undercover infiltration of the cybercriminal group LockBit.
